Performance drives training

Brisbane Junior Theatre aims at producing consistent and quality musical theatre productions for young performers in a safe, creative and excellent environment. Production that drives training is one of our main objectives.

As we build excellent productions with great actors in great spaces, it causes young performers to fall in love with theatrical performance, which in turn creates in them a hunger and passion to get better and seek technique and skill through professional training.

A show in a week

Using BJT’s unique formula and expertise we produce an entire Broadway based musical theatre show within a 5 day, 40 hr work week. We have produced over 65 productions in 16 years with between 40 and 140 actors taking part in a one-week holiday musical experience.

Our four BJT productions per year are incredibly fun.
We double cast leads and supporting roles and create a strong working environment where young actors, singers, and dancers can hone their skills and ultimately perform before an audience in 4 exciting performances per production.

The social networking, creative cooperation and negotiation helps the process achieve incredible results. The staff and volunteers are highly experienced and have many years of professional theatrical experience.
