Brisbane Junior Theatre holds auditions for all shows about 2-3 weeks prior to the production. We guarantee that everyone who auditions will be included in the cast, and we double cast all performances to provide multiple opportunities and experience.

FEES: $395 incGST

The production cost covers Costumes, Rights & Royalties & Scripts, Insurances, Technical & Creative Staff, Sets & Props, Venue Hire, and a Pizza Dinner & Drink on the Friday of the performance. A performer will not be able to audition without registering and paying on the day. For further information see our Audition and Refund Policy.

HOW TO AUDITION

STEP 1: Memorise Monologue

Memorise a monologue with the required characterisation and accents. (Younger children may memorise just a sentence or two). We suggest to research the musical and be familiar with the characters in the musical, in particular the role you are auditioning for.

STEP 2: Learn a song

At the bottom of the Monologue sheet will be a song and link to a YouTube video. As part of the audition you will need to sing this song and also dance. The dance choreography is taught on the day. We also suggest to be familiar with other songs from the show.
